Emilia Clarke is excited for fans to witness the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ but her description of the reaction she expects might leave a few people worried about what lies ahead…
The final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ is just over a month and a half away with the last six episodes in the series kicking off on Sunday night, April 14 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
The information involving the season has been scarce at best with no formal trailer released yet and any details really just best guesses based on how the show ended in season 7.
The actors and actresses in the show have been sworn to secrecy when it comes to revealing any actual spoilers but with filming wrapped several months ago, everybody in the main cast is aware of what happens during these final six episodes.
Emilia Clarke — aka Daenerys Targaryen — was asked while she was on the red carpet for the 2019 Academy Awards on Sunday night about how she would describe the final episode in the series. Obviously she couldn’t reveal anything but that didn’t stop her with a preview of what’s to come in the last six episodes of ‘Game of Thrones’.
“Shock,” Clarke said when asked for her prediction on the reaction viewers will have for the final episode. “It’s going to be huge, that much everyone needs to know. It took us a very long time just to do this one for a very good reason.
“I think there’s going to be some things — I know there’s going to be some things in this last season that will shock people.”
With so little time remaining until ‘Game of Thrones’ is finished, the biggest question might be who will ultimately end up on the Iron Throne but there will undoubtedly be a lot of bloody battles ahead before anybody is left sitting as king or queen.
What we do know for certain is that Daenerys, her dragons and her army are on their way to the North alongside Jon Snow in preparation for the oncoming battle against the army of the dead after the Night King managed to bring down the Wall at the end of season 7. Meanwhile in King’s Landing, Queen Cersei betrayed her promise and plans to attack and defeat whatever army is left from Daenerys when her battle against the dead is finished.
If Clarke is correct and the world will be shocked — what exactly must unfold in the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’???
