The long rumored cast for “The Fantastic Four” movie has finally been confirmed in a surprising Valentine’s Day post by Marvel Studios.

The four cast members announced for the lead roles for one of Marvel’s most famous teams had basically been confirmed by a number of outlets over the past couple of months but there was still no official confirmation until now.

Happy Valentine’s Day from Marvel’s First Family! Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn are The Fantastic Four.

At the top of the list is Pedro Pascal, who will portray Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic — the leader of the Fantastic Four.

Vanessa Kirby — best known for her roles in “The Crown” and “Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1” — will play Reed’s wife Sue Richards aka The Invisible Woman.

Joseph Quinn — who rose to fame after playing doomed rocker Eddie Munson in the most recent season of “Stranger Things” — will play Sue’s younger brother Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch

And finally Ebon Moss-Bachrach — who just recently scored an Emmy win for his role in the hit FX series “The Bear” — will play Ben Grimm aka The Thing.

“Fantastic Four” will be directed by Matt Shakman, who gained critical acclaim following his work on the debut season of “WandaVision” for Marvel on Disney+. The film is due out on May 2, 2025.

Of course, this will be the first film version of the “Fantastic Four” under the leadership of Marvel Studios after the characters were previously maintained under FOX. There were several “Fantastic Four” films made under the FOX banner including an original film and a sequel released in 2005 and 2007 starring Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis in the leading roles.

The latest attempt at a “Fantastic Four” film came in 2015 in a disastrous effort from director Josh Trank with Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell leading the way in a movie that was both a critical and commercial disaster.

Now it’s up to Shakman to right the ship for the “Fantastic Four,” which has been a flagship group for Marvel ever since the characters first debuted all the way back in 1961 from creators Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
