The first photos from the upcoming Halloween sequel have been released with a trailer on its way later this week…
Michael Myers is back.
The highly anticipated Halloween sequel from uber-horror producer Jason Blum, director David Gordon Green and Danny McBride will sequelize the original 1978 classic from director John Carpenter while ignoring all of the other films in the series.
The new Halloween is due out on Oct. 19 but the first photos from the movie have now been released with the debut trailer on its way this Friday.
Jamie Lee Curtis returns for the role that first made her famous as she plays Laurie Strode — 40 years after her brother initially terrorized her and her high school friends in their hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois.
Curtis addressed her return to the Halloween franchise with this latest movie where her character is no longer playing the victim but instead is well prepared for her brother’s homecoming.
“She was running for her life,” Curtis said about her role in the first Halloween film when speaking to USA Today. “In this case, she is well-matched, she is prepared, she is focused. She will be the one people are standing behind when that moment comes, because she’s the one ready.”
