Get a first look at the upcoming seasons for ‘The Flash’ and ‘Supergirl’ with new trailers just released from the CW…
Both ‘The Flash’ and ‘Supergirl’ are gearing up to return in October on the CW and the first trailers for the upcoming episodes have been released.
First up is ‘The Flash’, which returns on Tuesday night October 9 — after the revelation last season that Barry and Iris’ daughter has returned from the future, it appears they are facing all sorts of new problems with the timeline including a villain who has arrived in Central City.
The big bad in ‘The Flash’ season 5 will be played by ‘American Pie’ star Chris Klein, who will portray ‘Cicada’ — a blue collar man whose life and family have been ripped apart by metahumans and now he’s on a mission to exterminate them all one by one.
Meanwhile over on ‘Supergirl’, the end of season 3 saw an interesting twist coming up based on the classic Superman story called ‘Red Son’. The end of season 3 showed a Supergirl doppelganger landing in Russia and it’s hard to tell exactly what this version of the Girl of Steel will be doing when she makes her first appearance in season 4. ‘Supergirl’ will also feature another villain played by Sam Witwer as he joins the cast as Agent Liberty — the founder of an anti-alien hate group determined to establish humans as the superior race.
