The first teaser for the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ arrived on Thursday with no footage but instead a collision between ice and fire…
The first footage from the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ still hasn’t been released but on Thursday, HBO revealed the first teaser for the final six episodes in a video that showcased a collision between ice and fire.
‘Game of Thrones’ is based on the epic book series from George R.R. Martin called ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ so it’s only fitting that would be the theme for this final season.
The brief teaser shows ice covering enveloping many of the iconic sigils from the houses of Westeros with flames engulfing many of the others. The final collision ends with the revelation of the ‘Game of Thrones’ title with the final season being teased for April 2019.
A similar marketing campaign was rolled out for ‘Game of Thrones’ season 7, which means a full trailer may not be far behind.
There have been rumors for months that the first real trailer for the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ would be released before the end of 2018 but this teaser may be the only thing we get to see until the new year.
Either way enjoy the first teaser for ‘Game of Thrones’ season 8 — the final season — while anxiously awaiting the show’s return in April.
