Ahead of episode 2 of the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ a slew of new photos have been released where it appears Jon is preparing his strategy for the war ahead…
‘Game of Thrones’ returns this Sunday night at 9 p.m. ET for episode 2 of the final season picking up where the story left off last week with Jamie Lannister arriving in Winterfell for the first time since he rode as part of King Robert Baratheon’s caravan back in season one and pushed Bran Stark off a tower.
In the new photos just released for the second episode, Jamie appears to stand before a council that includes Queen Daenerys Targaryen, who might have a grudge against the ‘Kingslayer’ considering he earned his nickname killing her father, ‘The Mad King’ Aerys II Targaryen.
The photos also show Jon Snow preparing for the upcoming war where the Night King will lead the army of the dead to Winterfell where they expect to make their final stand for the living.
Judging by the photos released, it appears the majority of this episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ will stay in the North with no images of Cersei Lannister or her army in the south at King’s Landing.
We do see several serious looks on the faces of people like Grey Worm and Missandei as well as Samwell with Gilly after he found out that Daenerys burned his father and brother alive for refusing to bend the knee to her after losing in battle.
