The season 7 finale of ‘Game of Thrones’ has arrived….
Daenerys Targaryen’s army will arrive at the gates of King’s Landing in the ‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 finale but she won’t be there to knock them down or to sack the city.
Instead the dragon queen will send her forces to King’s Landing for a meeting alongside the King in the North, Jon Snow, as well as the current queen of the Seven Kingdoms Cersei Lannister to discuss a truce to engage in a different kind of war together.
The Night King is mounting his forces to attack Westeros and if he wins that means all life has been snuffed out.
In the preview for the ‘Game of Thrones’ finale, we find that all of the parties have arrived at the infamous Dragonpit that sits on Rhaenys’ hill outside King’s Landing. The Dragonpit once housed all of the Targaryen dragons until the civil war known as ‘The Dance with Dragons’ resulted in the townspeople revolting and burning the structure to the ground. Thousands of people died alongside five of the Targaryen dragons and the Dragonpit has remained in ruins ever since.
Now Cersei will meet with Daenerys’ representatives including her brother Tyrion Lannister and Jon Snow to discuss a cease fire in their ongoing war in an effort to stamp out the Night King before he can descend into Westeros.
From the look of things, Daenerys is nowhere to be found but something tells me she’ll make a grand entrance on the back of her dragon, Drogon as the Targaryen’s return to the Dragonpit for the first time in many years.
Of course there’s no telling how this meeting will end considering all the volatile pieces coming together to make it happen. With an army at the front door consisting of the Unsullied and a Dothraki horde, it’s only a matter of time before swords start swinging and the blood begins to flow in the streets.
It all comes down to this in a special 82-minute season finale as ‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 comes to an end this Sunday night at 9pm ET.
