‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 may only be seven episodes but the finale will be the longest of the entire series…
It’s probably still hard to fathom that ‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 will only clock in at seven episodes, but don’t despair because there will still be more to see with some extended episodes this season.
In fact, the ‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 finale will be the longest of the entire series at nearly 90 minutes long!
According to the ‘Game of Thrones’ show runners via EW, there will be two episodes this season over 60 minutes in length.
“One will be our longest episode ever — it’s coming in around 90 minutes,” David Benioff said. “Another is going to be our shortest episode at 50 minutes.”
Now the shortest episode is only about a minute less than the previous in ‘Game of Thrones’ that ran about 51 minutes.
Prior to season 7, the longest ‘Game of Thrones’ episode was the season 6 finale titled ‘The Winds of Winter’, which ran for 69 minutes last year.
Judging by what the show runners are saying, the finale for ‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 will be rather epic, especially considering it will set the stage for the final season of the show, which will then run for six episodes before the series comes to an end.
