As Marvel prepares for life after ‘Avengers: Endgame’, Richard Madden is currently in talks to join the franchise film ‘The Eternals’ also starring Angelina Jolie…
As Marvel Studios prepares to launch the next phase of their cinematic universe, ‘The Eternals’ appears to be a staple of the plans ahead with an ambitious cast being put together for the project.
The latest addition is Richard Madden — best known for his roles on ‘Game of Thrones’ and his Golden Globe winning performance on ‘Bodyguard’ — as he’s currently in negotiations to join ‘The Eternals’.
While the final cast for the movie is still coming together, Madden would be expected to join Angelina Jolie and Kumail Nanjiani on the project being directed by Chloe Zhao (The Rider).
‘The Eternals’ was a creation of Marvel icon Jack Kirby back in 1976. In the comics, the Eternals were created by a race of aliens known as the Celestials, who traveled to Earth millions of years ago to conduct a series of genetic experiments that created two vastly different races of creatures. The Eternals were super-powered humanoids while the Deviants were a grotesque, monstrosity and the two groups remained in a constant battle throughout Earth’s histor
If Madden’s deal is finalized, he would be expected to play Ikaris, a vastly powerful member of humanoid race of Eternals.
