The Joker will finally come to life in the series finale of ‘Gotham’.
Teases about Batman’s greatest villain started almost as early as the show began but now actor Cameron Monaghan will portray the Joker in the series finale, which takes place 10 years into the future.
‘Gotham’ revealed a first look at the Joker in a new teaser ahead of the series finale.
‘Gotham’ showrunner John Stevens also confirmed that Batman will make more than just an appearance in the series finale with the majority of the episode taking place so far into the future.
“He’s in the episode. He’s not just in a last scene,” Stevens said. “The last episode is one scene in the timeline of the rest of the season, and then the rest of the episode is in the future.”
‘Gotham’ returns to FOX on April 18 for the final two episodes in the series.
