Harry Dean Stanton has passed away at the age of 91….
Harry Dean Stanton — who was a character actor working in film and television for more than 60 years — has passed away at the age of 91.
TMZ reports that Stanton died peacefully at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
Stanton was an actor highly regarded throughout his entire career where he starred in dozens of memorable roles in movies as well as television over the years.
Some of his more memorable parts include his role in the 1979 classic “Alien” as well as “Red Dawn” and on television he played a major role in the HBO series “Big Love” as well as his recent appearance in the “Twin Peaks” revival after first appearing as part of the cast of “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me” in 1992.
Stanton also served in the Navy during World War II and fought at the Battle of Okinawa.
