After being held by Russian operatives for seven months, former CIA agent Carrie Mathison has returned home where she’s been debriefed extensively to determine what information she did or didn’t hand over while she was in captivity and without her medication.
Now with an entire intelligence community doubting her every word not to mention her loyalty to the United States, Carrie is a woman without a country until her mentor Saul Berenson calls her back into the field for help with a mission he’s conducting in Afghanistan.
That’s the set up for the final season of “Homeland,” which dropped the first trailer on Friday giving the first real look at what lies ahead in the last mission for Carrie, Saul and everyone else.
