The newest season of ‘Homeland’ will debut in February on Showtime with Carrie facing a new threat from inside the government…
When we last left ‘Homeland’ at the end of season six, Carrie saw the President elect of the United States go against her word by arresting more than 200 members of the U.S. intelligence apparatus after an assassination attempt was made on her life.
Now Carrie is forced to fight battles on both sides as she attempts to stop the terrorists still plotting against the President while also attempting to free her friends from jail including her mentor Saul Berenson.
Here’s the official plot description from Showtime:
“At the end of last season, following an assassination attempt on her life, President Keane (Elizabeth Marvel) broke her promise to Carrie by arresting 200 members of the intelligence community without bringing charges against them, including Saul Berenson. As season seven begins, Carrie has left her job in the White House and moved back to D.C. and is living with her sister Maggie (Amy Hargreaves) to take on the Keane administration and secure the release of the 200.”
Take a look at the new trailer and get ready for ‘Homeland’ to return on Sunday night, February 11 at 9pm ET on Showtime.
