“Euphoria” and “Saltburn” star Jacob Elordi will play the monster in Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming adaptation of “Frankenstein” for Netflix…
Jacob Elordi will portray a monster in his next role after landing in the cast for the upcoming adaptation of “Frankenstein” from writer and director Guillermo del Toro.
Elordi, who is best known from his roles on the hit HBO series “Euphoria” as well as the recent film “Saltburn,” took over the role from Andrew Garfield after he was forced off the project due to scheduling conflicts following the end of the writers and actors’ strikes.
He will portray Frankenstein’s monster — the malicious and deadly creation made by Dr. Victor Frankenstein, who will be played by Oscar Isaac in the upcoming film.
The cast also includes two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz and Mia Goth, who also stars in the upcoming film “MaXXXine,” which is the third part of the “X” trilogy from director Ti West.

Del Toro is the latest person to take a stab at adapting Mary Shelley’s iconic novel about Dr. Frankenstein creating a “creature” that ultimately torments him after giving it life.
The film is being made exclusively for Netflix, although there’s no word on whether or not the film might get a theatrical release once its finished.
