The trailer to Kevin Smith’s new film ‘Jay and Silent Bob Reboot’ has arrived as he returns to his New Jersey roots for his latest movie…
Get ready for a Bluntastic ride back into the world of Jay and Silent Bob.
On Thursday, Kevin Smith dropped a surprise trailer for his new film ‘Jay and Silent Bob Reboot’, which serves as a sequel to the 2001 film ‘Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back’.
In a totally original idea (pun intended), ‘Jay and Silent Bob Reboot’ puts the heroes of this story on a mission to stop the production on the remake of the film ‘Bluntman and Chronic’, which was based on the comic book based on Jay and Silent Bob. Got all that?
Smith was able to really get the band back together for this film as you’ll see with several familiar faces from his movie history including a couple of surprises including the return of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Smith was a regular collaborator with Affleck for several films including his critically acclaimed movie ‘Chasing Amy’.
In recent years, Smith has candidly talked about his friendship with Affleck dissipating but it appears the old pals were able to reunite for ‘Jay and Silent Bob Reboot’.
In addition to the trailer, Smith also announced plans to travel with his movie around the country for special screenings where he will also appear alongside Jason Mewes and conduct a Q&A with the audience after each show. Smith previously did this to great success with his film ‘Red State’ and now he’s going back on the road for ‘Jay and Silent Bob Reboot’.
