Expect Luke Cage to team up with Iron Fist during ‘Luke Cage’ season 2 expected on Netflix in 2018…
The Heroes for Hire are one step closer to reality.
With filming underway on ‘Luke Cage’ season 2, the first photo has surfaced showing Danny Rand aka Iron Fist (Finn Jones) showing up next to Luke Cage (Mike Colter) for at least one episode this season.

Now it’s not known at this time how long Iron Fist will be sticking around, but this could be putting the famous comic book tandem that much closer to reality as the characters have been long time partners in the source material.
In the comics, Luke and Danny teamed up to create ‘Heroes for Hire’ — an organization where they would handle their superhero duties while also taking on private investigation work that would help pay the bills. Of course there’s no telling if this new team up in ‘Luke Cage’ season 2 means we’re getting any closer to Heroes for Hire, but at it’s a start.
Luke and Danny first teamed up alongside Daredevil and Jessica Jones in this summer’s ‘The Defenders’ where the street level heroes all took on The Hand as they plotted to bring down New York City.
There are all sorts of possibilities why Luke and Danny will be teaming up in ‘Luke Cage’ season 2 but one possibility….spoilers lie ahead if you haven’t seen ‘The Defenders’… but perhaps Danny will play a part in helping Misty Knight get back into action after she lost an arm while fighting against The Hand.
In the comics, Misty ends up with a bionic arm (courtesy of Tony Stark aka Iron Man) but it’s entirely possible in this universe it’s Danny Rand who provides the technology.
Either way, look for Iron Fist to pop up during ‘Luke Cage’ season 2 when the show debuts next year.
