Maisie Williams Teases Potential Spoiler for Final Season of ‘Game of Thrones’

Maisie Williams talked about her favorite kills as Arya Stark on ‘Game of Thrones’ and revealed a small spoiler about the upcoming final season…

By Damon Martin — Editor/Lead Writer

It’s safe to assume that very little about the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ will be spoiled prior to the show being released on HBO in April.

There have been a few details revealed such as an epic battle scene that took more than 60 days to film that will unfold during this final season.

This week while making an appearance in Brazil at CCXP, actress Maisie Williams — aka Arya Stark — was asked about her favorite kills on the show and she managed to slip in one minor tease about what she’ll be doing in the final season.

When talking about her favorite kills, Williams mentioned when Arya slit the throat of Petyr ‘Littlefinger’ Baelish as one particular highlight but that scene was mostly revolving around her sister Sansa Stark finally gaining vengeance on the man who had manipulated her for years.

Williams then said her personal favorite kill was when she got revenge against Meryn Trant — former member of the Kingsguard — who had murdered her ‘dancing teacher’ Syrio Forel back in the first season of the show.

That’s when Williams added that Arya’s body count will rise in the final season and it sounds like at least one or two of those kills will end up on her all time list once the rest of the world sees these last six episodes of ‘Game of Thrones’.

“There’s a few more [kills] in the new season, which is exciting,” Williams said during the panel discussion. “Up until this point, killing Meryn Trant was the most fun.”

Obviously it’s not exactly a shock that Arya would end up killing a few more people prior to the end of ‘Game of Thrones’ but the better question might be who tempts fate by going up against her. Considering Williams’ reaction, it doesn’t sound like these kills will just be some random soldiers opposing House Stark.

After leaving King’s Landing when her father was beheaded, Arya had an extensive ‘kill list’ of people that she wanted dead. There are still a few of those people alive as we enter the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ including — Cersei Lannister, ‘The Mountain’ Gregor Clegane, Ilyn Payne, Melisandre, and Beric Dondarrion,

Will Arya get to cross off a few more names from her kill list before ‘Game of Thrones’ comes to an end? Judging by Williams’ giddy smile when addressing her favorite kills, it certainly seems like at least one of those names will end up meeting their fate when they finally cross Arya Stark in these last six episodes.
