The hope to renew “Manifest” for a fourth season has come to an end after Netflix passed on the recently cancelled NBC series…
The hopes to save “Manifest” have come to an end.
Just days after NBC cancelled the series following the season 3 finale, Warner Bros. attempted to secure a new deal to move the show to Netflix but the streaming service opted to pass and with that the show will now officially come to a close.
The decision to cancel “Manifest” was a disappointment to fans of the show after creator Jeff Rake had initially laid out a six season arc for series. The show followed a group of passengers who land in New York following a flight from Jamaica that actually disappeared five years earlier with out a trace. While the rest of the world has moved on, the passengers arrive without any time passing whatsoever and the repercussions of that momentous occasion was the starting point for the series.
Just recently, “Manifest” debuted the first two seasons on Netflix and the show became an instant hit, rocketing to the top of the streaming ratings for the past two weeks.
Despite that success, Netflix ultimately decided not to rescue “Manifest” and give the show another season.
Following news that “Manifest” would not be returning for season 4, Rake took to Twitter to thank the fans of the show for all the support and he was joined by some of the cast members as well.
Manifest Gratitude,
Final EditionThank YOU, our fans. You became the Manifesters at Comic-Con 2018. Ever since, you’ve watched religiously, parsed every word, cried a lot, laughed a little, puzzle-solved, and never, ever, wavered in your support. I’ll never forget it. ????❤️
