Margot Robbie is back as Harley Quinn in a first look at the upcoming ‘Birds of Prey’ movie where she returns to the character she first played in ‘Suicide Squad’…
Margot Robbie is back as Harley Quinn.
On Tuesday, Robbie revealed a first look at her new costume as the titular Batman villain as she begins filming on the highly anticipated team up film ‘Birds of Prey’ about a group of female superheroes and anti-heroes who team up together in Gotham City.
The official title for the film is actually ‘Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)’ and the movie is due out in theaters on February 7, 2020.
This time around, Robbie ditches her male cohorts from ‘Suicide Squad’ and instead teams up with a new group of heroes dubbed the Birds of Prey including Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary and Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya. Ewan McGregor is slated to play Black Mask, an infamous Batman villain, who is set to serve as the major opposition to the Birds of Prey while Chris Messina is on board to portray serial killer assassin Victor Zsasz.
Cathy Yan is on board to direct the feature film, which will see Robbie return as Harley Quinn after she was by far the best part of the ill-fated ‘Suicide Squad’ movie that made a lot of money at the box office but was a critical disaster for Warner Bros.
