With ‘Daredevil’ set to debut on Netflix on April 10 and ‘AKA Jessica Jones’ going into production, the next series from Marvel and Netflix titled ‘Luke Cage’ has now picked a show runner to handle the day to day operations on the series.
Cheo Hodari Coker — best known for his work on the Showtime series ‘Ray Donovan’ as well as the critically acclaimed drama ‘Southland’ — has been chosen as the executive producer and show runner for ‘Luke Cage’.
Before he got into television, Coker was a full time writer working at the Los Angeles Times, VIBE Magazine and also wrote a biography on The Notorious B.I.G.
Mike Colter has already been selected to play Luke Cage and he will debut as part of the cast of ‘AKA Jessica Jones’ before moving into the solo series expected to debut in 2016.
