The Marvel Universe is crossing over again with ‘Runaways’ colliding with ‘Cloak and Dagger’ this season…
The Marvel television universe will see two series collide with a crossover episode featuring ‘Runaways’ and ‘Cloak and Dagger’ now confirmed.
On Thursday it was revealed that when Marvel’s ‘Runaways’ returns to Hulu on December 13, the main stars of Freeform’s ‘Cloak and Dagger’ will make an appearance during one episode in the series.
“It’s so fun being able to do something that revels in the Mighty Marvel Manner! Having these young heroes crossover allows fans of both shows to see the adventure everyone has been waiting for and we’ve only hinted at,” said Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television.
‘Cloak and Dagger’ just recently wrapped up its second season on Freeform with season finale putting Tyrone Johnson (Cloak) and Tandy Bowen (Dagger) on a bus leaving New Orleans in hopes of helping out other parts of the country.
It appears that journey will eventually bring them to Los Angeles where they will meet up with the kids from ‘Runaways’ as they continue to fight for their lives in season 3.

“In the third season, the Runaways frantically search for their captured friends Chase Stein, Gert Yorkes, and Karolina Dean. The kids go head to head with an unstoppable enemy who has targeted Leslie — or more accurately, the child she’s carrying. Nico Minoru draws them all into a dark realm where its ruler Morgan le Fay, played by Elizabeth Hurley, is much more nefarious than anyone the kids have yet to face.”
Marvel has obviously done crossovers previously, most notably with their series on Netflix that eventually culminated in Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist teaming up in ‘The Defenders’ limited series.
This crossover is notable because it not only brings characters from the shared Marvel Universe together but this one bridges between two networks with ‘Runaways’ on Hulu and ‘Cloak and Dagger’ airing on Freeform.
All 10 episodes of ‘Runaways’ season 3 will drop on Huly on December 13.
