“MaXXXine,” the upcoming horror sequel starring Mia Goth has added several new stars to the cast including Kevin Bacon, Halsey and more…
Mia Goth will have a lot of star power joining her in “MaXXXine” — the upcoming conclusion to the Ti West horror trilogy that started with “X” followed by the prequel “Pearl,” which were both released in 2022.
Goth returns as Maxine Minx — the sole survivor of the farmhouse massacre that saw her fiance and the rest of her castmates butchered by an elderly couple — while shooting an adult film on their property. Goth also played Pearl — one of the people responsible for the murders — and she also portrayed the same character in the prequel set in 1918.
In the latest sequel, Maxine has traveled to Los Angeles in hopes of becoming an actress when she gets caught up in the dangerous world of underground filmmaking.
Now several more cast members have been added with production on “MaXXXine” expected in April.

Among the cast includes — Elizabeth Debicki (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3., The Crown), Moses Sumney (The Idol), Michelle Monaghan (True Detective, Gone, Baby, Gone), Bobby Cannavale (The Watcher, Vinyl), Lily Collins (Emily in Paris), Halsey (Americana), Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul, The Mandalorian) and Kevin Bacon (City on a Hill).
While full details about the film haven’t been revealed yet, Debicki is expected to play a director in the upcoming sequel while Esposito will portray an agent working with adult film stars and Z list actors. Monaghan and Cannavale are playing LAPD detectives with Bacon portraying a private investigator in the film.
The other roles have not been revealed just yet.
West and Goth received critical acclaim for their work together on both “X” and “Pearl,” which became breakout hits for both this past year. Goth has suddenly become the “it” girl in horror with her roles in those films as well as the recent Brandon Cronenberg feature “Infinity Pool.”
There’s no release date attached to “MaXXXine” but production is starting soon so it’s likely the film will hit theaters in late 2023 or early 2024.
