“Mayans M.C.” will return for one final ride with the fifth and final season debuting in May and a new teaser has been released…
“Mayans M.C.” will officially return for the fifth and final season on May 24 on FX.
The “Sons of Anarchy” spinoff was renewed this past July for a fifth season but it wasn’t announced until months later that these last episodes would also serve as the final run for the Santo Padre chapter of the Mayans Motorcycle Club.
Along with the announcement for the return of the series, FX also dropped a brief teaser trailer for the final season.
When “Mayans M.C.” ended with season 4, EZ Reyes made a power move using the early bi-laws from the motorcycle club to stage an uprising and oust founder and club president Marcus Alvarez from the charter. In a new vote, EZ ended up becoming president while naming Bishop as his new vice president. As part of his first order as president, EZ established a new partnership with the club to deal heroin for Soledad — the new leader of the LNG cartel — while also vowing to continue the war with the Sons of Anarchy after the two clubs ended up at odds with each other throughout the course of season 4.
Of course, EZ has no idea at the same time he was striking this deal with the cartel that some mystery assailant was setting fire to a warehouse filled with cartel heroin that was supposed to be dealt by the Mayans. To make matters worse, the Mayans also crossed Isaac Packer — a vicious and dangerous member of the Sons of Anarchy, who emerged from the shadows to exact revenge on the Mayans and he started by burning Manny alive, who just so happened to be the vice president of the Yuma chapter of the Mayans M.C. as well as a close friend to EZ Reyes.
This sets up for an explosive final season as “Mayans M.C.” prepares for one last ride in these last episodes. Keep an eye out for a full length trailer in the coming weeks with the show set to debut on FX on May 24.
