“X” and “Pearl” star Mia Goth is the latest addition to the upcoming “Blade” film headlined by Oscar winner Mahershala Ali…
Mia Goth has already become the it girl in horror and now she’s crossing over to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Goth has officially joined the cast for the upcoming “Blade” film from Marvel Studios with Yann Demange (“Lovecraft Country”) on board to direct from a screenplay written by Michael Starrbury, who was nominated for an Emmy award for his work on “When They See Us.”
As of now there’s no word on the role that Goth will be playing in the upcoming film but she joins a cast that also includes Oscar winner Mahershala Ali as he plays the half-vampire/half-human Blade — a role that Wesley Snipes famously played in three previous films.
Goth has been incredibly busy over the past couple of years with rave reviews for her work with director Ti West in the horror films “X” and the prequel titled “Pearl.” There were more than a few calls for Goth to even receive Oscar attention for her work in “Pearl,” a film with a story that she actually helped develop alongside West.
Most recently, Goth starred in the Brandon Cronenberg sci-fi horror film “Infinity Pool” and she’s also working on the third film in the “X” and “Pearl” trilogy with the sequel “MaXXXine” that’s already filming.
“Blade” is set for release on September 6, 2024.
