Following a breakout season on Mr. Robot, Stephanie Corneliussen has now scored a part in the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow…
Stephanie Corneliussen — who is best known for her cold and calculating role as Joanna Wellick on the hit USA series Mr. Robot — has now landed a part on the upcoming CW series Legends of Tomorrow.
Corneliussen will play Valentina Vostok, who is better known in the DC Comics Universe as Negative Woman.
In Legends of Tomorrow, the time traveling heroes will meet Vostok in the height of the Cold War where the Atom and Captain Cold will vie for her affections to prove whether or not she’s in cahoots with Vandal Savage.
The comic book version of the character originated in 1977 as a member of the Soviet Air Force, who steals a plane in an attempt to defect to the United States. When her plane goes down in the same region where the original Doom Patrol perished, she is merged with Negative Man’s body giving her the ability to fly, become intangible and create minor explosions whenever she comes in contact with positive energy.
Corneliussen enjoyed quite the breakout year on Mr. Robot where she played the pregnant wife of corporate climber Tyrell Wellick during season one. Prior to Mr. Robot, she also had parts in The Exes and Royal Pains.
Legends of Tomorrow is expected to debut on The CW midseason in 2016.
