Nathalie Emmanuel teases what lies ahead in the epic 8th and final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ that will debut on HBO in 2019…

The anticipation for the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ continues to grow as the show draws closer to returning in 2019.

Many of the cast members have teased what lies ahead in these last six episodes, which is the shortest season to date but the filming still managed to stretch out as long as any other season in the long running HBO show.

Nathalie Emmanuel — who portrays Daenerys Targaryen’s interpreter Missandei — spoke about the upcoming final season and what fans can expect to witness during the last six episodes of ‘Game of Thrones’.

“I feel like people will have their mind blown when they watch the final one,” Emmanuel said. “I think what we can expect from the final season of GoT is just a real push. Like in the last couple of seasons, we have seen the pace of the show increase with the stakes getting higher and higher,” Emmanuel said. “There are so many storylines that have to come to conclusion. We have to play them out, so the pace of the show is continuing on that sense.
“There are so many characters and stories that haven’t found their conclusion. So, this season is going to be incredibly satisfying for people. It is going to be incredibly exciting and heartbreaking. All of the things that you expect from Game of Thrones, but at the same time since it is the last one, the emotions will be so much more intense. I am very excited for people to see it. We have been working so hard on it. The production is finished now.”

Filming on the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ wrapped a couple of months ago but post production work on the series continues behind the scenes. HBO hasn’t given an exact date yet for the debut of the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ although there’s a possibility that a first trailer will arrive before the end of 2018.

When ‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 came to a close, the Night King had brought down the Wall with the help of his zombie dragon as the invasion of the dead officially began. Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen slept together while riding on a boat towards the expected battle against the dead while Cersei plotted to kill all of them after hiring the Golden Company to sail from Essos to serve as the army to maintain her grip on the Iron Throne. And of course, Bran and Samwell figured out the true heir to the Iron Throne is actually Jon Snow — whose real name is Aegon Targaryen, the only son to Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark.

Details on ‘Game of Thrones’ season 8 have been scarce at best, although several of the episodes are expected to go beyond the one hour mark. With only six episodes remaining there’s a lot to get to before ‘Game of Thrones’ finally comes to an end.
