A new trailer for “Birds of Prey” has arrived with a look at the backstory for Harley Quinn’s breakup with the Joker as well as Ewan McGregor’s transformation into Black Mask…
“Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn” will land in theaters on February 7 but a new trailer has arrived with more footage from the upcoming all girl team up movie.
The new trailer details how Harley Quinn cut ties with the Joker — who isn’t expected to actually appear on screen for this movie — before she runs afoul of a local mob boss, which puts her into hot water as she seeks to start a new life. The new mob boss played by Ewan McGregor is seeking vengeance against all who have wronged him and that forces Harley to look for a team filled with girl power in order to take him on.

“You ever hear the one about the cop, the songbird, the psycho and the mafia princess? “Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)” is a twisted tale told by Harley herself, as only Harley can tell it. When Gotham’s most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis, and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz, put a target on a young girl named Cass, the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley, Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya’s paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down.”
The film directed by Cathy Yan will break out Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) into a leading role after first appearing in 2016’s “Suicide Squad.” Robbie is expected to once again play Harley Quinn in the upcoming film “The Suicide Squad” from writer/director James Gunn but first things first, she’s going to lead this all girl team in her own movie due out on Feb. 7.
