A new trailer for HBO’s upcoming series “Lovecraft Country” from executive producer Jordan Peele has arrived…
There are monsters both real and supernatural in the latest trailer for “Lovecraft Country,” a new series headed to HBO in August.
Executive producer Jordan Peele with “Underground” co-creator Misha Green serving as showrunner, “Lovecraft Country” is based on the book of the same name. Here’s the official synopsis from HBO:
“Based on Matt Ruff ‘s novel of the same name, Lovecraft Country follows Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors) as he meets up with his friend Letitia (Jurnee Smollett) and his Uncle George (Courtney B. Vance) to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father (Michael Kenneth Williams). This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.”
The new trailer shows Atticus on the hunt for his father and he runs into all sorts of horrors in his cross country trip. Where there are plenty of scary things that go bump in the night, Atticus, his uncle and his friend Letitia also run into more than a few human monsters along the way as well as you’ll witness in the trailer.
