Marvel Studios will be producing several new shows headed to Disney+ including “Secret Invasion” as well as “Armor Wars” and “Ironheart”…
There have already been a number of Marvel Studios TV series announced for Disney+ including “WandaVision,” “Loki,” “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” “She-Hulk,” “Moon Knight. Now there are even more series coming from Marvel to the streaming service in the near future.
As rumored for several months, Samuel L. Jackson will return as Nick Fury but it won’t be a stand alone season focused solely on the former head of S.H.I.E.L.D. Instead, Jackson will star in “Secret Invasion” alongside Ben Mendelsohn, who returns as the Skrull named Talos, who we first met in “Captain Marvel.”

Comic book fans will recognize that name after “Secret Invasion’ served as a major Marvel crossover event throughout 2008. In that story it’s revealed that the shape-shifting Skrulls have invaded Earth for years and taken the place of several prominent heroes. Throughout the story many of the best known superheroes in Marvel are revealed to actually be Skrulls, who have been posing in their place for years.
Of course it’s unknown just how closely the “Secret Invasion” series will mimic the events from the comic books.
Also announced on Thursday was a new series called “Armor Wars” that will see Don Cheadle reprise his role as James “Rhody” Rhodes aka War Machine. “Armor Wars” is “a classic Marvel story about Tony Stark’s worst fear coming true: what happens when his tech falls into the wrong hands?”

There will also be a “Guardians of the Galaxy” holiday special coming in 2022 as well as new animated shorts that will feature everybody’s favorite tree in “I Am Groot.”
Everyone’s favorite little tree, Baby Groot, will star in a series of shorts on @DisneyPlus featuring several new and unusual characters.
