Ozark season 2 will drop on Netflix on August 31 as the series described as Breaking Bad meets Justified returns.
The series starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney has been hailed as a critical and commercial success for Netflix after a well received debut season last year.
Ozark focuses on financial planner Marty Byrde, who has to uproot his family to move from Chicago to the Ozarks thanks to a money laundering scheme with a Mexican cartel lands him in hot water. Season one saw plenty of twists and turns as Marty attempted to clean the cartel’s money while navigating very muddy waters with plenty of local entanglements in the Ozarks.
From the look of things, Ozark season 2 will test the Byrde family even more as Marty faces a whole new set of problems after the shocking end to season one.
