The first look at “Ozark” season 3 has been revealed along with a debut date for series’ return on Netflix.
The crime-drama starring Jason Bateman, Laura Linney and Emmy winner Julia Garner will return on March 27 with the series picking up six months after the events at the end of season 2 where Marty Byrde helped launch a riverboat casino to continue his money laundering efforts for the Mexican drug cartels while simultaneously running afoul of the local mob.
Here’s the official synopsis from Netflix:
“It’s six months later, the casino is up and running, but Marty and Wendy are fighting for control of the family’s destiny. Marty preaches keeping the status quo. Aided by an alliance with Helen and drug cartel leader Omar Navarro, Wendy plots for expansion. But when Wendy’s brother Ben comes into town, everyone’s lives are thrown into chaos.”
Wendy’s brother Ben Davis will be played by “Banshee” and “Iron Fist” veteran Tom Pelphrey, who joins the show in a series regular role in season 3.
Along with the video teaser with the release date announcement, Netflix also dropped several new photos from “Ozark” season 3 before the first trailer inevitably drops in the weeks to come. Take a look and get ready for “Ozark” to return on March 27.
