The first full length trailer for “Ozark” season 3 has arrived as the Emmy winning series returns to Netflix in March…
When Marty Byrde took his family from Chicago to the Ozarks, it was all done under the guise of saving his life after he discovered his partner had been stealing from the money they were laundering for a powerful Mexican drug cartel. Marty’s plan then got his entire family entangled in the criminal dealings of their new home in the Ozarks and two seasons later, Marty is in deeper than ever.
That’s where we pick up with “Ozark” season 3 following the release of the first trailer on Thursday ahead of the show’s return to Netflix on March 27.
At the end of “Ozark” season 2, Marty managed to open a new riverboat casino that would make his money laundering job that much easier but in the process he ended up crossing the local mafia, who is now coming after him as well. Meanwhile, Marty’s wife Wendy has gotten in even deeper with her husband’s business and things will take another dramatic turn after he brother arrives in town as well.
Here’s the official synopsis for “Ozark” season 3 from Netflix:
“They are all in. The Byrdes are back in business and the stakes have never been higher. As tensions mount surrounding their new casino, The Missouri Belle, Marty and Wendy struggle to balance their family’s safety with the growing success of their money laundering empire.”
The new trailer promises more than a few twists and turns including Marty and Wendy dealing with their fractured marriage while also operating the riverboat casino in order to appease the Mexican drug cartel — an organization that always seems to be hanging a noose just above their heads.
