Long before Sydney Sweeney was one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, she was a teenage actress just auditioning for roles like anybody else.
When she was only 16, Sweeney took a stab at a horror film about a young nun that goes to live at a secluded convent in Italy when horrific things start happening to her and around her. Sweeney didn’t get the part because the film never got made but she couldn’t erase the memory of that script from her mind.
Nearly a decade later with a lot more influence at her control, Sweeney actually reached out to original writer Andrew Lobel about purchasing the rights to the movie with an updated script that she would produce.
Sweeney took a complete hands on approach to the film by hiring a director, she attached producers and even found financing to make the movie.
The film centers around a 25-year-old nun named Cecilia sent to the secluded convent in Italy when she’s stunned to discover that without any sexual contact in her past, she’s actually with child….
