This week on Rewind of the Living Dead, TikTok influencer and horror creator Horror_Chronicles joins the show to help us look back at “Terrifier” where Art the Clown made his murderous feature film debut…
As a special effects artist, Damien Leone played to his strengths while making several short films where he also introduced a character named Art the Clown.
A silent killing machine, Art became a centerpiece in several appearances across Leone’s projects such as “The 9th Circle” as well as the anthology “All Hallow’s Eve.” After realizing that Art the Clown had actually only appeared in about 20 minutes of footage throughout all of his past projects, Leone decided it was finally time to give his murderous clown a feature film.
Leaning on his creativity as a special effects artist, Leone created a monument to the maniacal in a movie that featured Art the Clown stalking a pair of random girls who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
What results is a gruesome display of blood, guts and gore that one reviewer called “unpredictable and unapologetically violent”….
In the latest episode of Rewind of the Living Dead, we’re going to load up our garbage bag full of toys and stop at the local late night pizzeria as we review the 2016 film “Terrifier”…
