‘Preacher’ will officially be returning for a fourth season on AMC after the Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg was renewed on Friday…
‘Preacher’ will be back for season 4.
On Friday, AMC announced that it had renewed the Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg series based on the comic books from Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon for a fourth season on the network.
‘Preacher’ follows the story of Jesse Custer, an outlaw preacher who has been gifted with a powerful creature called Genesis that gives him the power of the word of God. Alongside his sometimes girlfriend Tulip and his best friend/enemy Cassidy, they are traveling across the country in search of God, who left his throne in Heaven.
“’Preacher’ is a show unlike any other on television,” David Madden, president of programming of entertainment networks for AMC Networks, said in a statement. “A passionate base of fans found their way to Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy and have followed along with their adventures, at times indescribable adventures, for three seasons. We are thankful to our partners at Sony and to Seth, Evan and Sam for everything they have brought to this series, which we are pleased to renew for a fourth season.
“Like the superfans of Preacher, we can’t wait to see where this journey leads next.”
‘Preacher’ was the follow up comic book series developed for television by AMC after the success they found in ‘The Walking Dead’. While ratings on ‘Preacher’ have been somewhat hit or miss, the series has largely received positive responses from critics.
