It looks like Quentin Tarantino has found the subject for his next movie…
Quentin Tarantino has apparently found the subject he wants to cover for his next film.
According to several reports, Tarantino is working on a script focusing on the Manson family murders that took place in the late 1960’s orchestrated by Charles Manson.
The title for the film is not known but Tarantino has written the script with plans to direct the film as well and he’s apparently already reached out to several top names with interest to star in the project.
Tarantino is reportedly still finalizing the script but reports say he’s already contacted Brad Pitt about one of the starring roles in the film as well as Jennifer Lawrence, although there’s no word on which characters they would play.
Part of the script is expected to focus on the infamous 1969 slaying of actress Sharon Tate, who was two weeks away from giving birth when the Manson family broke into her home and brutally stabbed her to death along with four other victims.
If this film moves forward, Tarantino would be tackling a real life event for the first time since his 2009 film “Inglorious Basterds”, which took place during World War II. Of course, Tarantino ended up doing a fantastical re-imagining of the events that took place during World War II so it was only very loosely based on actual happenings.
For now, early talks continue as Tarantino finishes up his script with rumors that shooting for the film could start in 2018.
