If ‘Riverdale’ season one was a murder mystery, season two will be more of a thriller and there might be a monster involved…
The Sugar Man is coming to ‘Riverdale’.
On Tuesday, ‘Riverdale’ creator and show runner Roberto Aguirre Sacasa teased a new character headed to the town with pep with a picture released on Twitter.

The children’s drawing shows brother and sister Cheryl and Jason Blossom alongside a rather horrific looking character only called the Sugarman in the picture.
Now ‘Riverdale’ season 2 is expected to be more of a thriller where season one was based around the murder mystery of who killed Jason Blossom.
One interesting theory could be the continuation of the Blossom family storyline after it was revealed that patriarch Clifford Blossom murdered his own son while he was also the ringleader behind the drug trade in the town.
Perhaps the ‘Sugarman’ was the silent partner in the drug business and now he’s coming into the picture to run things now that Clifford is dead. In a deleted scene from ‘Riverdale’ season one, Jughead vows to find out who’s running drugs in town to help clear his father and the Southside Serpents from any suspicion but his father warns him to stay away because the person behind it all is the ‘devil himself’.
A lot of possibilities for the identity of the Sugarman as ‘Riverdale’ season 2 prepares to kick off on Wednesday night, October 11 at 8pm on the CW.
