Rob Zombie is returning to the franchise that put him on the map as a director.
The rock star and horror movie director has kicked off production on 3 From Hell, which will serve as a direct sequel to the most critically acclaimed film of his resume The Devil’s Rejects.
While it certainly appeared that the three main characters in The Devil’s Rejects — Captain Spaulding (played by Sid Haig), Baby (played by Sheri Moon Zombie) and Otis (Bill Moseley) — were cut down in a hail of gunfire at the end of the film, Zombie is resurrecting the whole family for this upcoming sequel.
All three main stars are returning for 3 From Hell with Zombie dropping teasers on Instagram as production gets underway.
There’s no word yet on what kind of plot will dominate 3 From Hell but Zombie has always had fun with this series of films that started with House of 1,000 Corpses back in 2003.
