“Scream 6” has added four more actors to the upcoming sequel with production starting this summer as rumors swirl that the story will be set in NYC…
The cast for “Scream 6” continues to grow with four more actors joining the sequel that’s expected to start production this summer with a March 31, 2023 release date.
Here are the four actors who have been added but there are no details yet on the characters they will play:
Liana Liberato — best known for her role in “The Beach House” as well as the series “Light as a Feather” and the upcoming Amazon horror-comedy “Totally Killer.
Jack Champion — who is set to star in the upcoming sequel “Avatar: The Way of the Water” along with the additional films in the series.
Devyn Nekoda — best known for her past roles in TV series such as “Utopia Falls” and “Ginny and Georgia.”
Josh Segarra — who previously appeared in “Arrow” as well as the CBS series “FBI” along with a starring role in the upcoming Disney+/Marvel Studios series “She Hulk: Attorney at Law.”
The four new cast members join returning “Scream” stars Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding, who all appeared in the 2022 sequel. Hayden Paniettiere is also returning to the franchise as Kirby Reed after she portrayed that character in 2011’s “Scream 4.”
Courteney Cox is also reprising her role as Gale Weathers but she won’t be joined by original “Scream” star Neve Campbell, who dropped out of the project after she was unable to strike a deal with the studio on a financial package for her return.
Filming for “Scream 6” is expected to start soon with rumors swirling that the film will take place in New York City after the only plot detail revealed from the film stated that the survivors from the 2022 “Scream” film would leave Woodsboro and seek to start a new life far away from the tragic town in California. Sadly, it doesn’t appear any of them will escape a new Ghostface coming after them in New York.
