‘American Horror Story’ season 7 has added a ‘Scream Queen’ to the cast…
Billie Lourd — best known as Chanel No. 3 on FOX’s comedy/horror series ‘Scream Queens — has been cast in a starring role in ‘American Horror Story’ season 7.
Lourd joins returning stars Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, who have both been confirmed for the series that will take place following the 2016 Elections. There’s not much else known about the series or what Lourd’s role will be on the show.
What we do know is that Lourd is the latest actor to join another series from creator Ryan Murphy after working for him on ‘Scream Queens’ for two seasons. Murphy is very loyal to the actors who work for him as he’s cross cast several of them over his many numerous series from ‘American Horror Story’ to ‘American Crime Story’ and everything else in between.
Lourd’s casting in ‘American Horror Story’ also seems to put a nail in the coffin for ‘Scream Queens’, which was never officially cancelled or renewed after a very tepid reaction both critically and commercially for season 2. Fellow ‘Scream Queens’ star Lea Michele also recently took a new job at ABC as part of a new comedy series pilot on the network.
Lourd will also be seen later this year with a part in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ where she starred alongside her mother Carrie Fisher, who passed away earlier this year.
As for ‘American Horror Story’, filming for the series is expected to start this summer with a fall debut date on FX.
