Sam Witwer is joining ‘Supergirl’ for season 4 as a famed character from the DC comic book universe…
Agent Liberty is coming to National City.
Sam Witwer — who played Doomsday on ‘Smallville’ as well as one of the lead roles in ‘Being Human’ on Syfy — has been cast to play the villain Agent Liberty for ‘Supergirl’ season 4.
Agent Liberty in the ‘Supergirl’ version of the character will be the founder of the Children of Liberty, a hate group that supports a human only agenda, which obviously stands at odds with the DEO. Agent Liberty is described as “a brilliant orator in the guise of a family man” and he will apparently have great luck convincing people to join his cause during ‘Supergirl’ season 4.
Witwer is also the latest ‘Smallville’ veteran to stop by ‘Supergirl’ after Erica Durance joined the show last season to play Kara’s mother as well as Laura Vandervoort, who played the villain Indigo during the first season of the show after previously portraying Supergirl on ‘Smallville’.
‘Supergirl’ shifts to a new Sunday night time slot when the show returns to the CW in October.
