The final trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ has arrived as the epic saga comes to a close in December…
“Long have I waited and now your coming together is your undoing”
Ominous words from Emperor Palpatine in the final trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ that debuted on Monday night as tickets went on sale for the last film in the “Skywalker Saga”.
While plot details remain a mystery, we know for certain that Emperor Palpatine — last seen chronologically in “Return of the Jedi” — has returned from the grave for the last chapter in this ‘Star Wars’ epic directed by J.J. Abrams.
Not much else is known and the trailer isn’t going to reveal much more, although we do see a lot of battle scenes between Rey and Kylo Ren as it appears their paths will continue to collide until the war is over.
You’ll also hear voiceovers from Luke Skywalker as well as his sister Leia as the focal point of this final chapter shifts towards Rey’s journey to becoming a Jedi — perhaps like her father? Only time will tell if that truth is revealed in the movie.
Tickets for ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ also went on sale with early screening starting on Thursday, December 19 followed by the film’s full release on December 20 nationwide.
