The first teaser trailer for ‘Stranger Things’ season 3 has arrived along with a poster and the debut date being revealed…
‘Stranger Things’ season 3 will debut on Netflix on July 4.
The surprise news was revealed on New Year’s Eve as a new poster and teaser trailer were also released for the highly anticipated third volume of the science fiction series on Netflix.
The teaser trailer coincides with a New Year’s celebration, this time going back to 1985 where the show takes place this year. There are several flashes throughout the trailer that may give a hint at what lies ahead but obviously not much is actually revealed.
What we do know for certain is ‘Stranger Things’ season 3 will take place approximately one year after the events in season 2, which seems to be a common theme for each installment of the show.
At the end of season 2, Eleven finally returned to Hawkins, Indiana and she helped stop an invasion coming from the Upside Down courtesy of an evil much greater than a Demogorgon with a creature the kids were calling a ‘Mindflayer’.
In the closing moments of the second season, flashes were shown that split between our reality and the Upside Down to show that the Mindflayer was still looming overhead and the battle between the two worlds was far from finished.
Check out the teaser trailer for ‘Stranger Things’ season 3 along with the new poster, which you can see below, and get ready for the show to return on July 4.
