“Stranger Things” season 4 is still in production but some new cast members for the show were revealed on Wednesday along with character descriptions.
Sadly like so many shows, “Stranger Things” had filming delayed due to the global pandemic but the series is back up and running now.
While there have already been numerous additions to the season 4 cast including “Nightmare on Elm Street” legend Robert Englund joining the show, there were four more cast members announced with many of them attending Hawkins High with Mike, Dustin, Lucas and Will.
Here’s the actors joining “Stranger Things” along with their character descriptions:
Amybeth McNulty — playing Vickie: a cool, fast talking band nerd who catches the eye of one of our beloved heroes.
Myles Truitt — playing Patrick: a Hawkins basketball star who has friends, talent, and a good life…until shocking events send his life spiraling out of control.

There are very few details about the storyline unfolding in “Stranger Things” season 4 but there have been a few hints and teases already revealed. Following the conclusion of season 3, Jim Hopper (David Harbour) was revealed to be alive after it appeared he had been killed while trying to stop a machine that was exposing the Upside Down world to our current universe. When the season debuts, Hopper will be stuck in a Russian prison camp.
Meanwhile, a teaser video released just recently showed Dr. Brenner’s return as he was seen presumably in a flashback scene to the Hawkins Lab he previously ran where he used children as test subjects for experiments including Eleven, which is where she gained her powers. It’s unknown if Brenner (Matthew Modine) will be returning in the present day storyline but it was previously teased back in season 2 that he hadn’t met his demise at the hands of the Demogorgon as originally suspected.
“Stranger Things” season 4 will also explore beyond the boundaries of Hawkins, Indiana after Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) moved her family to Indianapolis including Eleven, who she takes with her after Hopper is believed to be dead.
