The cast for “Stranger Things” season 4 is getting bigger.
As production on the popular Netflix series is back underway after delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic, a slew of new additions and roles were announced on Friday.
At the top of the list is Robert Englund, who is best known for his role as Freddy Krueger in the “Nightmare on Elm Street” series. In “Stranger Things,” Englund will be playing Victor Creel who “is a disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s.”
In addition to Englund joining the “Stranger Things” season 4 cast, “Game of Thrones” alum Tom Wlaschiha, who played Faceless Man Jaqen H’ghar on the HBO series, will be playing a Russian guard named Dmitri, who befriends Hopper and he’s described as “a smart and charming Russian prison guard. But can he be trusted?”
