If Nancy doesn’t wake up screaming she might not wake up at all during ‘Stranger Things’ season 2…
With ‘Stranger Things’ season 2 debuting on October 27 on Netflix, the 1980’s based series has received a new poster featuring an homage to a classic horror film from the same year the show is set.
Netflix unveiled a special new poster for ‘Stranger Things’ season 2 based on the original ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ film, which was released in 1984 from legendary writer and director Wes Craven.
Of course, ‘Stranger Things’ season 2 will take place in 1984 — one year after the events in the first season that took place in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana.

It doesn’t hurt that one of the lead characters in ‘Stranger Things’ is named Nancy — the same as Nancy Thompson, the heroine from ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’.
The countdown is on for ‘Stranger Things’ season 2 with the show only two months away from being released with nine brand new episodes on Netflix!
