‘The Flash’ has added a new cast member to season 6 with Natalie Dreyfuss joining the show in a role that will tie her to Ralph Dibny…
The Elongated Man might be getting a wife on “The Flash”.
The CW superhero series has cast Natalie Dreyfuss in the recurring role as Sue Dearbon with her first appearance expected to take place in the latter part of season 6 airing in 2020.
Dreyfuss — best known for her roles in series such as “The Originals” and “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” — joins “The Flash” as the mystery woman who Ralph has been searching for since the end of season 5.
In comic book lore, Sue eventually becomes Ralph’s significant other as they known as one of the most famous married couples in the entire DC Universe. It’s not certain at this time how “The Flash” will adapt that storyline for the series but it seems likely that Ralph and Sue will eventually get paired up again.
According to the official description of the character, Sue Dearbon possesses “a fierce intelligence and a spitfire personality, she is the daughter to one of Central City’s most wealthy families. But there’s much more to Sue than just the socialite reputation that always precedes her.”
There’s no word yet on when Dreyfuss will appear but she’s set as a recurring character for now in season 6. It seems entirely possible that Dreyfuss could eventually join the show in a more full time role given Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer) has become a big part of Team Flash since first joining the series.
Look for Dreyfuss to debut sometime in the latter part of “The Flash” season 6 after the events in “Crisis on Infinite Earths” has ended.
