The award winning series ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ will return for a fourth season on Hulu…
Three episodes before the third season of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ comes to an end, the series based on Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name has been renewed for season 4 on Hulu.
‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ stars Elisabeth Moss in the lead role in a story that takes place in a dystopian future where a part of the United States has been taken over by religious radicals and renamed Gilead. The women in Gilead are allowed very few rights and the handmaids are essentially slaves who are forced to have children by the men from whatever house they are assigned to serve.
The first season of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ brought home a slew of Emmy awards with the story following along very closely to Atwood’s original novel. When the show was renewed for a second season, the writers were crafting an entire new story that went beyond the scope of Atwood’s novel because she never actually wrote a sequel at the time.
Now ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ has officially been renewed for season 4 on Hulu with expectations that it will debut in 2020.
