Get a first look at ‘The Mandalorian’ from Jon Favreau in the first ‘Star Wars’ series headed to Disney+ in November…
‘Bounty hunting is a complicated profession. Don’t you agree?’
‘The Mandalorian’ will debut with the launch of Disney+ on November 12 and the first teaser trailer for the ‘Star Wars’ series debut on Friday at the D23 convention in California.
Starring ‘Game of Thrones’ favorite Pedro Pascal in the lead role, ‘The Mandalorian’ takes place in the wake of the defeat of the Empire in ‘Return of the Jedi’ as the galaxy is thrown into upheaval as a new government begins to emerge and the outlying systems still trying to scratch and claw their way free of Imperial rule. The series focuses on a lone gunfighter, who does his best to survive far away from the reach and the law of the New Republic.
A closer look will reveal a couple of Easter eggs from the ‘Star Wars’ universe including an IG assassin droid who looks an awful lot like IG-88 from ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ as well as several people being frozen in carbonite, the same substance that once contained Han Solo as he was returned to Jabba Hutt by Boba Fett in ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ and ‘Reeturn of the Jedi’.
The series also features Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Nick Nolte and Giancarlo Esposito.
