Many of the stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe came out to pay tribute to Stan Lee after he passed away on Monday…

There would be no Marvel Cinematic Universe without Stan Lee so it stands to reason why many of the biggest stars from those films came out to pay tribute to the legendary comic book creator who passed away on Monday at the age of 95.

Lee had his hands in dozens of comic book creations over the years — from Iron Man to Spider-Man to the Avengers and many more — not to mention his appearances in most of the Marvel Studio films over the past decade.

Lee was a regular to appear on set during the filming of those movies and he was a beloved member of the family with so many of the cast members relishing the time they were able to spend with him.

His death sent reverberations throughout the pop culture zeitgeist on Monday and the stars of the Marvel Universe came out in droves to pay tribute to the great Stan Lee.

Here are some of the tributes paid to the late, great Stan Lee:

No one has had more of an impact on my career and everything we do at Marvel Studios than Stan Lee. Stan leaves an extraordinary legacy that will outlive us all. Our thoughts are with his daughter, his family, and his millions of fans. #ThankYouStan #Excelsior!

Sad, sad day. Rest In Power, Uncle Stan. You have made the world a better place through the power of modern mythology and your love of this messy business of being human… pic.twitter.com/x6yZ6ClNSX
